Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the MediPaws app (the “Application”) collects, uses, and protects your information. The Application is provided by Upper Village Apps (the “Service Provider”) as a freemium service.

By creating an account and using the Application, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

When you use the Application, we may collect the following information:

Account Information: Your email address (used to create and log into your account).
Pet Health Information (user-provided): Data you choose to enter about your pet(s), including seizure logs, medications, medication compliance, appointments, moods, and exercise.
Usage Data: Aggregated, non-identifying information about how the Application is used (through Firebase Analytics).
Error Data: Technical error and crash reports, which do not contain personally identifiable information.
Google Sign-In Information: If you choose to sign in with Google, we will receive your Google account email address and, if permitted, your name and profile picture. This information is used solely to authenticate your account and personalize your experience.

We do not collect your pet’s identity (e.g. name or breed) unless you choose to enter it, and we do not collect sensitive personal information about you beyond your email address.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide core features of the Application (account login, data syncing, subscription management).
Allow you to track and manage your pet’s health information.
Improve the Application through anonymous analytics and error reporting.
Manage in-app subscriptions and premium features.
Respond to support requests.

We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Subscriptions and Payments

The Application uses RevenueCat to help manage in-app subscriptions. Payments are handled securely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not process or store your payment card information.

Third-Party Services

Data Retention

Your email address and pet health data are stored for as long as you maintain an account.
If you request account deletion, all personal and pet health data will be permanently deleted.
Aggregated analytics and anonymized error data may be retained for service improvement.
Deletion can be requested by emailing uppervillageapps@gmail.com, or by using the account deletion link in-app.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR (Europe) or CCPA (California). These include the right to:

Access the data we hold about you.
Request correction of your data.
Request deletion of your data.
Request export of your data.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. We recommend that you keep your account login information safe and secure.

Children’s Privacy

The Application is intended for use by individuals aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will delete it immediately.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. We will notify you of updates by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
